Michael and MaryAnn Kohberger, Bryan Kohberger’s parents, were living in Pennsylvania at the time of his arrest.
MaryAnn Kohberger, Bryan’s mother, is a 62-year-old paraprofessional who works with kids, according to reports.

Bryan has a sister named Mellissa who works as a mental health therapist in New Jersey, according to public records.
Arrested For Four Idaho Murders Is Bryan Kohberger
Authorities detained Bryan Kohberger on December 30, 2022, at his parents’ home in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
Kohberger was detained by the FBI Swat Team and Pennsylvania State Police. He was taken into custody on four first-degree murder charges and one criminal burglary charge.
Kohberger was given a public defender’s position and held without bail at the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Stroudsburg.
On January 3, 2023, the 28-year-old is expected back in court for a hearing.
Bryan and his father, Michael, were detained twice in Indiana, Kohberger’s public attorney, Jason LaBar, informed the reporters on January 2.
LaBar told ABC News that Bryan and Michael were stopped for tailgating and speeding about an hour apart while traveling from Pullman, Washington, to the Poconos.

On Friday, December 30, Kohberger was taken into custody on suspicion of killing housemates Xana Kernodle (20), Kaylee Goncalves (21), Madison Mogen (21), and Ethan Chapin (20).
